ROB PARIS - Lead Pastor, Priest

Rob moved to Denver from Hawaii with his wife Kendis to attend seminary, although parts of his heart never fully made it to the mainland!  After serving as the Associate Pastor at Wellspring Church in Englewood, CO for 8 years, God called Rob to plant Church of the Advent, a journey that has stretched his faith and deepened his love for God and His people. Rob’s passions include mentoring, discipleship, and developing leaders for God’s church.  In his spare time, Rob can be found playing board games, hiking, and or competing at absolutely anything.  Rob and Kendis have two spunky girls - Maile and Alia - who both love to dance and are growing like weeds. 

KEN ROBERTSON - Assistant Pastor, Deacon

Originally from middle Tennesse, Ken served on staff with the Navigators for 2 years before moving to Denver to attend seminary.  He considers himself the luckiest man alive because of his beautiful wife, Sarah, and their little baby girl Zoe.  Ken’s passions include connecting with the world outside the church and inviting people to deeper commitment to Jesus.  He also enjoys outdoor activities (snowshoeing, camping, backpacking), reading good books, tossing a frisbee, and Sarah’s chocolate chip cookies (which are the best in the entire world…if you’d like to challenge this conclusion, please send a batch to Ken’s house at 130 W. Archer Pl., Denver CO 80223 for taste-testing).

CINDY HAMILTON - Deacon

Cindy (Ball) Hamilton is originally from South Dakota.  She has been married to her best friend, Brad, for 30 years and they have three adult children. Cindy completed a Masters Degree in Christian Studies while living in Adelaide, South Australia. She loves the mountains, reading, riding her bike along the Platte River and hanging out with family and friends.  Currently, Cindy and Brad are on a “sabbatical” in Peru and will return in 2014.  Until then, the rest of us are trying to hold things together!
